ByBox provides last-mile logistics solutions to customers across various industries. With a presence in over 30 countries, each ByBox warehouse offers secure, customer-specific storage locations. Their proprietary platform enables customers to log in, browse inventory across sites, and request equipment transfers as needed.

Challenges

Many of ByBox’s customers use Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) to manage their service operations. However, every time a customer created a Work Order in Salesforce to initiate a product movement, they had to manually replicate the same request in ByBox’s platform — leading to duplication of effort, increased error risk, and reduced operational efficiency.

ByBox needed a solution that would automatically synchronize Salesforce work orders with their platform and eliminate the need for double data entry.

Our Solution

Aspire developed a custom Salesforce-integrated ByBox App to streamline the product request workflow and automate communication with the ByBox platform.

Authentication Setup:
Admins configure API endpoints and authentication details via the Settings tab.
Master Data Synchronization:
Users, products, and warehouse locations can be pulled (read-only) from the ByBox platform to Salesforce via the ByBox Data tab.
Product Request Integration:
- On Salesforce Work Orders, users can create Product Request Line Items.
- Each request displays a Google Map with live availability data from the ByBox platform.
- Clicking a location marker automatically sends a request to ByBox to generate a work order and assign a field agent.
Status Syncing:
Once the item is shipped and the work order is closed in ByBox, the status is updated in Salesforce automatically.
